“90 Centigrade will provide a memorable experience for all guests and we look forward to putting the café on the food and beverage global map.” Grand Millennium Al Wahda
Opened late last year, 90 Centigrade café located on the ground floor of the Grand Millennium Al Wahda, is a spacious, modern homegrown concept that offers diners a selection of sweet and savoury options from early til late.
Named after the perfect water temperature to make an espresso brew, 90 Centigrade (90c), serves breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside fresh pastries, cakes, hot and cold drinks including alcoholic beverages. If you are a fan of a long weekend lie-in followed by a casual and relaxed brunch this trendy cafe’s option is ideal for you.
Available on Fridays and Saturdays, the three course brunch offers a sharing appetizer, main dish and dessert plus two alcoholic beverages (a choice of beer and house wines) for a very reasonable AED 135 per person. To start we had an Italian inspired antipasti sharing board with mini bruschetta, olives, pate, tapenade, artisan bread and chunks of tasty parmesan, inviting and hard to resist and we had to stop ourselves finishing the whole thing!
Main courses are chosen from the cafe’s regular AM & PM menu that includes a good selection of savoury dishes such as salads, salmon, sea bass, pasta and burgers but is quite limited for vegetarian and vegan guests. We had the salmon keto bowl and a 90c special club sandwich that was adapted to be vegetarian. An array of individual sweet treats are displayed at the counter for dessert, I can personally recommend the raspberry tart and red velvet cake.
The menu offers a range of seasonal dishes using the freshest and locally sourced ingredients with an eco-friendly approach to the environment. This may not be your usual high-end, sprawling Friday brunch but a more simple, quiet affair akin to the more traditional long and relaxed weekend lunch. If you find yourself downtown at the weekend pop in and try it for yourself, the food was good, the service was exceptional and it’s great value for money.
