Chef’s Brunch | The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi

Discover our new Chef’s Brunch, an entertaining culinary experience where our world class Chefs will amuse you.” The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi

The new Chef’s Brunch at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi is a grand affair offered every Friday at the luxury hotel’s palatial Meditternean all-day dining restaurant, Giornotte. The brunch takes you on a culinary journey around the globe with exquisite dishes and plenty of variety to suit all palates.

Having brunched many times at Giornotte I was pleased to see this redefined version is of a smaller scale so you no longer need a map (there was actually a map) or spend too much time wandering about. It’s a market-style brunch with live cooking stations manned by the hotel’s team of experienced chefs, a foodies dream you may say. On one hand there’s delicacies such as freshly shucked oysters, mountains of seafood and seared foie gras but on the other more health conscious options at the superfood and poke bowl stations as well as plenty of vegan options (there’s even a vegan package).

Favourites with our party were the seafood, sushi, vegetable and chicken dim sum and the mini wagyu burgers and chips. Pizza and pasta options were good in the Italian corner with vegan pizza and the never seen before pizza topped with burgers, I kid you not! The enormous wagyu rump cannot go without a mention and the bbq station was a hit. Fancy some peking duck? Not a problem at this brunch and follow it up with some delicious Indian cuisine or perhaps a trip to Asia. Vegetarians are also well catered for with a dedicated burrata station, soups, salads, vegetable dishes and so many other delicious options.

As if there wasn’t enough food to choose from a trolley visits your table to deliver extra delights as caviar and truffle risotto. Drinks options are aplenty with a good selection of beers, wines and cocktails including creative mixology and our table favourite, Espresso martinis. We dined on the terrace which is the perfect spot at this time of year.

There’s an entire kitchen dedicated to dessert and I may have visited it more than once. Sugary treats cannot be avoided in this room with a wall of donuts, two chocolate fountains, waffles, crepes and candy floss to name a few of the options alongside all the miniature delights you expect from brunch. The world of chocolate station offers amazing creations made in-house, the truffles and slabs of chocolate were just divine. There’s also quite the array of international cheeses if you still have room.

It’s a family-friendly brunch with a separate children’s area with it’s own buffet, as well as activities and cooking classes. Whether you are a carnivore, seafood connoisseur or follow a plant-based diet there’s plenty to choose from at this fine-dining brunch. Sit back and enjoy the relaxed vibe as the attentive servers look after your every need, the children are amused and the drinks are free-flowing, the only thing missing was some live music.
