The 11th edition of Abu Dhabi Art opens to the public on Thursday 21st November at Manarat Al Saadiyat and will conclude on Saturday 23rd November.  This year fifty notable international galleries will showcase a curated exhibition of contemporary artworks alongside a programme of engaging public events.

The art fair, presented by The Department of Culture & Tourism (DCT), offers visitors a variety of exhibits alongside cultural talks, daily performances, workshops and masterclasses. Gateway: Fragments, Yesterday & Today is a visual art exhibition curated this year by Paolo Colombo and Beyond: Artist Commissions will feature large sculptures and installations across the Emirate from artists Leandro Erlich and Oliver Beer.

The sea, the desert and abandoned urban spaces are the creative inspiration of Emirati artists Ayesha Hadhir, Rawdha Khalifa Al Ketbi and Shaikha Fahad Al Ketbi for their work in the Beyond: Emerging Artists exhibition (works will be displayed until 9 February 2020).

New Horizons explores Asian Contemporary art from leading Chinese galleries and artists as well as galleries from India. For the the third year Focus: Drawing, Tracing, Mapping curated by Dr Omar Kholeif, will explore the practice of drawing in cartography and how it sparks artists other imaginative ideas.

The annual Talks series will offer conversations and book launches featuring some of the art world’s leading figures, click HERE for the full programme. Official event partner, Boucheron, the prestigious French jewellery brand, is once again supporting the event and showcasing the regional debut of their latest collection Paris, Vu Du 26.
