“Hit burger joint creates eggs-actly what you need to start your day right.” Black Tap
Famous for its range of signature burgers and sweet laden CrazyShakes, Black Tap Abu Dhabi the popular US burger joint located in Yas Mall, has added a breakfast menu to its repertoire along with a selection of new burgers and shakes. Shake up your weekend breakfast routine with some American favourites such as pancake stacks topped with fresh fruit or The Southern Dip, a combination of crispy fried chicken with blueberry waffles.
Head to the restaurant between 10am and 4pm every Friday and Saturday to check out their new breakfast menu. Is breakfast even breakfast these days without avo on toast? Black Tap’s avocado on toast is a spicy affair with chilli flakes and eggs cooked your way but those who prefer a more traditional start can try the eggs benedict with slow roasted beef, turkey ham or salmon.
Fancy something a little different from the norm to start the day, or afternoon if you are a late riser? Why not try a chorizo breakfast taco stuffed with egg, chicken chorizo and all the trimmings, perhaps a pastrami breakfast sandwich with beef brisket, egg, Swiss cheese, caramelised onions and special sauce or pancakes with orange, cranberry and ricotta.
The Croissant at Black Tap is like no other, this croissant is loaded with eggs, a choice of turkey ham or beef bacon, swiss cheese, arugula, aioli and a dash of signature house vinaigrette. Got a big appetite? Add on breakfast extras of waffles or pancakes, eggs, sautéed mushrooms, caramelised onions, turkey ham, hash browns, beef bacon, avocado, Mexican potatoes topped with sauce or cheese.
Six new burgers include the regional inspired Gulf Burger with zaatar, marinated halloumi cheese, pesto mayo, sun dried tomatoes, avocado and parmesan cheese and the fragrant wagyu beef Truffle Burger topped with smoked gouda, baby arugula, truffle-yuzu vinaigrette and black truffle mayo. The Filet Au Poivre is an indulgent choice with tenderloin steak, peppercorn sauce, onions and a choice of swiss or blue cheese.
Also on offer is the Pizza Burger, the Chilli Cheese Burger and the Reuben Burger with beef pastrami, sauerkraut sliced pickles, swiss cheese and Black Tap’s special sauce. Be sure to request how you like your burger and eggs cooked as we encountered a couple of issues with our order that meant our food arrives in stages. Vegetarians and vegans are also well catered with speciality burgers, salads and breakfast items.
Two new totally instrammagable, extravagant calorie laden crazy shakes are now available too, The Crazy Banana and the strawberry flavoured New Yorker topped with a slice of strawberry cheesecake. I opted for the banana and Nutella creation, a huge gravity defying shake that was topped with fried bananas, pretzel chips and a kinder bueno. Look out for a limited edition Easter special shake completed with Lindt chocolate bunnies.
Regular shakes in various flavours are also on offer as well as soft drinks, teas and Black Tap’s coffee selection including signature creations such as the salted caramel latte. There’s also fresh juices as well as virgin Mary and a mimosa, alcohol free versions of the classics and a selection of Jarritos, the fruity Mexican sodas.
The large mall-based restaurant embraces the industrial New York style interior, artwork and playlist of its Dubai counterparts with the same graffiti adorned walls and old school hip-hop background music. You can, like us, dine alfresco on the outdoor terrace with fountain views that overlooks the Cascade Dining area connecting the mall and Ferrari World.
