“How many things by season seasoned are to their right praise and true perfection!” William Shakespeare

Burgerlicious

“You can find your way across this country using burger joints the way a navigator uses stars.” Charles Kurait

Got your Ketchup at the ready as you may fancy a burger or two after reading this post! In honour of yesterdays National Burger Day, it seemed an appropriate time (yesterday would have been better if I’d been that organised!) to share the teenagers Top Five burgers that have made the shortlist from her one woman burger survey of Abu Dhabi.

Happy 1st Anniversary anexpatabroad

“Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words.” Plautus

Road-trips and Reunions

“It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of the best things about escaping the Abu Dhabi summer heat and having an extended trip home is catching up with friends. It may mean we are constantly on the move, clocking up mile after mile in the hire car but it’s worth every minute on the road (except my love/hate relationship with the M25) and I am so grateful for all the fantastic hospitality and laughs that this trip has given me/us.

“Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing worth knowing can be taught.” Oscar Wilde
