Hotel Indigo | Edinburgh

“A boutique hotel with a truly unique feel.” Hotel Indigo Edinburgh

Packing for ‘summer’ in the UK always involves a variety of outfit choices to cover the unpredictable British weather, from flip flops to boots and all manner of options in between (packing light is impossible, quite frankly I’m not very good at anyway).

Oriental Residence Bangkok | Thailand

“Take care of the luxuries and the necessities will take care of themselves.” Dorothy Parker

The Oriental Residence Bangkok (ORB) is a sleek hotel nestled amidst leafy avenues on Wireless Road in the quieter embassy district of the city near the vast Lumpini Park.

La Flora Resort Patong | Phuket

“Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.” Coco Chanel

If you have read my previous Discover Thailand: Phuket post you will already know that I wasn’t too chuffed to be staying in Patong itself but I was somewhat appeased when I found out that the suggested hotel, La Flora Resort was part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World Group (SLH).

Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra | Kovalam

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” Helen Keller

The Fog Resort & Spa | Munnar

“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” Ibn Battuta

A good hotel was hard to find in Munnar, surprisingly it seems that top quality properties are not sought after high in the mountains of Kerala’s tea country which I found surprising as there are so many foreign tourists.
