Do you have clients to entertain? Maybe you want to enjoy a meal with colleagues? Or perhaps you just fancy treating yourself to an indulgent lunch. Whatever the reason Marco’s Italian, located at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, has curated the perfect Business Buon Appetito for all such occasions.

Marco’s Italian, by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, has introduced a new, authentic daily lunchtime menu designed by Head Chef Giampaolo and his team. The menu combines a selection of dishes suitable for every taste using fresh and seasonal Italian ingredients for a very reasonable AED 90 (2 courses) or AED 120 (3 courses).

Diners have a choice of three starters, three mains plus the chef’s Dish of the Week, which was fish when we visited, and two desserts. Highlights include a healthy Superbowl Salad, Smoked Duck Leg Confit, Penne Pasta with assorted vegetables, a vegetarian pizza and fresh fruit with lemon mint sorbet. For me the stand out dishes were the Crema Di Pomodoro (creamy tomato soup) which was very tasty and served with croutons and a very delicious cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries and a chocolate Marco’s logo. I prefer my pizzas crispy with extra cheese so the vegetarian pizza was a little soggy for me due to the large quantity of toppings.

Drinks, such as wine and coffee, are also available at an additional cost but the menu is inclusive of the hotel’s sustainable ‘water from air’ served in reusable glass bottles. Chef Giampaolo said of the new business lunch menu, “Our aim is to infuse the vibrant flavors of Italy into your workday without compromising on time. Expect a monthly rotation of fresh, seasonal ingredients that redefine the art of business dining.”
