“A home for infinite curiosity.” teamLab
Saadiyat Cultural District will soon be home to teamLab’s latest multi-sensory art space, Phenomena Abu Dhabi. The permanent space will open in 2024 but in the meantime there’s a pop-up activation at Mamsha Al Saadiyat to wet your appetite.

The everchanging and immersive experience at teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will encourage visitors to wander through the cutting-edge installations that intergrate art and technology. The pop-up preview, which is free to visit, features two rooms offering a glimpse of what to expect once the permanent gallery opens.

teamLab, which originated in Japan, is partnering with the Department of Culture & Tourism (DCT) and Miral to bring teamLab Phenomena to the capital. The purpose-built architectural masterpiece will house a series of unique sensory installations that change dependant on the environment. The futurist building will join the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum and the Natural History Museum at the heart of the cultural district.

We visited teamLab Borderless in Tokyo (photos below), a vast digital art museum that encourages visitors to discover the colourful group of artworks that form one continuous, borderless world. Top attractions include the Forest of Lamps, Forest of Flowers and the Flutter of Butterflies.

Enjoy a sneak peak at what’s to come at teamLab Phenomena at the Mamsha pop-up that’s open for a limited time until Sunday 17th July.
