“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.” Jimmy Johnson
Oops a bit late again with last weeks photo challenge. Bloggers were asked to share a photo that has a little something extra: an unexpected visitor, or a tranquil landscape with a splash of color. A lone carrot in a sea of peas. Draw us in with a humorous detail, or find a photo with an added element that makes it an image only you could capture. (If you’d like, go broader and show us a thing or place you think is an extra — a thing you could do without, or a place that’s not part of your day-to-day life but has meaning for you.)
The construction boom in Dubai has given the emirate a reputation for its elaborate buildings and towers. Some of the most impressive displays of modern architecture are actually hotels that sit alongside more traditional buildings. My photos show views of the two Address Hotels that are located in Downtown Dubai. The first photo has something extra as it shows the Address Hotel Dubai Mall, which is located on the top of the worlds biggest mall, reflected in the mirrored panels of a nearby office building. The second photo shows the extra special iconic Address Hotel Downtown Dubai that is positioned opposite the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa and lights up a distinctive blue at night.
