Sea Hawk, who specialise in non-motorised water sports, offer daily guided tours to see the famous art museum from a new perspective. Sunrise or sunset tours are available as well as others in the afternoon and evening. The tour takes you around the perimeter of the building, in and out of the inner waterways and under the famous geometric dome. Kayakers meet at the back of the museum (past Aptitude cafe) where there’s also changing rooms if required. A short safety briefing is given by Sea Hawk staff before everyone is provided with a life jacket, complimentary water and dry bags to protect camera equipment and phones. The guide leads the group on the trip which is roughly 45 minutes to an hour long with plenty of opportunities to grab some photos.
As one of the UAE’s eco-tourism companies, Sea Hawk also offers daily kayak eco-tours through Abu Dhabi’s Eastern Mangroves National Park. Trip Departures: 6:30am (sunrise), 8:00am (regular trip on weekdays /Junior Trip on weekends), 3:30pm, 5:00pm (sunset) and 7:00pm (dark/night). CLOSED every Monday.
Cost: AED 126 per adult (For every full paying adult, 1 child aged 6-12 years is FREE of charge)
Age requirement: 6 years and above
No prior kayak experience is necessary. Guests are accompanied by a professional instructor and given a safety briefing prior to the tour. Trip includes life jackets, complimentary water and use of dry bags.
