Two of Abu Dhabi’s popular brands have collaborated to offer yoga lovers a new way to hone their downward dogs by the beach. Bodytree Studio and Asia de Cuba invite yogis of all abilities to ‘Feed Your Soul’ every Monday evening from 6.15pm.

The hour-long outdoor energising hatha flow class is taught by Bodytree yoga instructor Sara Dwyer Lane. Participants are taken through a range of yoga poses on the grass adjacent to the restaurant’s terrace. Hatha flow is a series of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing), the sunset class is gentle so perfect for beginners or yogis who prefer a more relaxed vibe. Yoga is ideal for anyone looking to build their strength, increase flexibility and self-awareness.

After the class, participants are served a specially created three-course detox menu in the cabana’s (water permitting) on the restaurant’s terrace overlooking the water. The menu includes a delicious and refreshing Cuban Sunset cleanser, a combination of watermelon, orange, kumquat, ginger and agave. Food is served sharing style, appetizers of mini beet pica tartare and seaweed rolls, entrees of steamed wild salmon, steamed Korean brown rice or chilli rolled tofu for vegetarians. There’s even a dessert, albeit a healthy version, of broiled ruby grapefruit with lemon mint sorbet.
