The Color Run™ came in all its fun and colourful glory to the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi for the first time yesterday. The happiest 5k on the Planet is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. The untimed race has two rules, wear white at the start line and finish plastered in a combination of vivid colours!
Eight thousand participants, aged from one to one hundred, took part in the event, including Olympic gold medalist Dame Kelly Holmes as well as the teenager and her friends. Yellow, Red, Blue and Pink colour dust was showered on the runners in the colour zones located around the track at each kilometre. The charitable event will donate $1 from each entry fee to local charity, Operation Smile UAE.
