Flyboarding is making waves in the UAE as the latest aqua fad to hit the water. Today a family friend and the other half tried out the new sport with FlyboardsUAE near Yas Island. Flyboarding was created by French jet-ski designer Franky Zapata, who started jet-skiing as a teenager and has devoted his life to the sport. The jet-ski engine powers the pump to send the water up the 18m hose and into the board and that propels it upwards in the air, the instructor stays on the Jet Ski and controls the water pressure. All a little bit crazy!
